How it works
From raw inputs to a defensible, cited output
Opora tools combine your inputs with current primary-source data to produce outputs you can use and cite. Here is exactly how that works — data sources, limits, accounts, and the pipeline logic.
The operator pipeline
Every Opora tool maps to a specific stage in the cleaning operator pipeline. The pipeline is the organizing principle — not "use AI to do stuff," but "complete this specific job in this stage and move to the next."
Acquire — win the contract
RFP Decoder extracts the requirements. Federal RFP Filter finds active government solicitations by metro. Bid Benchmarks shows market-rate pricing. Compliance Check flags what the bid must address.
Build — price and propose
Bid Drafter produces the full proposal. Walkthrough Voice captures site-walk notes and converts them to scope. Bid Rate Calculator computes the floor price based on labor, supplies, and overhead.
Operate — deliver and track
Margin Sentinel watches per-account profitability. Handbook Drafter produces the employee policy document. Hire Right covers recruiting, pay-setting, and onboarding. Compliance Check continues as scope changes.
Recover — protect and rebuild
Lost Bid Autopsy diagnoses losing bids. Customer Recovery produces the win-back plan when an account goes quiet. Ask Opora handles one-off questions at any stage.
Data sources
All quantitative outputs — wages, production rates, pricing bands, regulatory requirements — come from named primary sources. Opora does not invent numbers and does not present AI-estimated figures as facts.

What happens when you run a tool
- You submit the form inputs (building size, service type, location, scope).
- The request reaches Opora's API. Your inputs are validated and rate-checked.
- The relevant primary-source data for your inputs (BLS metro wage, ISSA production rate, market pricing band) is pulled from the data layer.
- Your inputs and the sourced data are composed into a structured prompt. The prompt includes the citation context so the language model can reference it directly.
- The output is generated by a commercial language model (Claude or GPT-4 class). The model does not access the internet in real time — it uses only what the prompt provides.
- The output is returned to your browser. Citations are rendered inline so you can verify every number.
- If you are signed in, the output is optionally saved to your Library. Inputs are logged to your run history so you can reload and re-run with the same values.
Important: Opora outputs are starting points for decisions, not final authorities. Verify wage figures against your local BLS data before publishing a bid. Legal and compliance outputs are informational — they do not constitute legal advice.
Usage limits
Opora applies per-IP and per-tool rate limits to maintain fair access. Current limits:
Anonymous (no account)
60 requests per minute across all endpoints. 10 requests per minute per tool. Limits reset on a rolling window. No daily cap on anonymous use.
Signed-in (free account)
Higher per-tool limits. Access to Library, input history, templates, export, sharing, and analytics. Same tools — more workflow features on top.
If you hit a limit, the tool returns a 429 response with a Retry-After header. Wait and retry. If you are running automated workflows and need higher limits, contact support.

Accounts and data
- Sign-in uses a magic link sent to your email — no password to set or lose.
- Saved artifacts are stored in your Library. You can export everything at any time (JSON, CSV, or DOCX) from your Exports page.
- You can delete your account and all associated data from Settings → Danger zone. Deletion is permanent after 30 days.
- Opora does not sell your data. Your tool runs and artifact content are not used to train AI models outside of Opora's own systems.
