Tips that change outcomes
- Tighter than label-recommended dilution can void surface warranties. Many hard-floor manufacturer warranties specify a pH range and minimum dilution. Using a disinfectant at 1:16 when the label says 1:32 doesn't make it more effective — and it can void the warranty on polished concrete or VCT. Always check the SDS for pH at the recommended dilution.

Troubleshooting
- The tool doesn't recognize my dilution ratio format.
- Enter it as a simple ratio with a colon: 1:32, 1:64, 1:128. If the label shows "4 oz per gallon," convert it: there are 128 oz per gallon, so 4 oz/gal = 1:32. Use that format in the field.
- My cost-per-gallon RTU looks unexpectedly high.
- Double-check that your concentrate cost input is per gallon, not per case or per unit. If you bought a 4×1-gallon case for $80, the per-gallon price is $20.
