Diversey sits at a different price tier, and that reflects real formulation differences

Diversey's Signature UHS Floor Finish and Carefree Floor Finish/Sealer both list at a noticeably higher per-gallon price point than the Betco and Zep products above, at $317.78 and $264.92 per gallon respectively at case pricing from one distributor listing. That price gap generally reflects Diversey's positioning toward higher-solids, longer-wear UHS-specific formulations designed to reduce recoat frequency over a facility's maintenance cycle, rather than a directly comparable commodity acrylic finish. Before assuming the cheaper Betco or Zep product is the better value, run the actual math on your account: fewer recoats per year on a premium finish can offset a higher per-gallon price within a single maintenance cycle, especially on high-traffic corridors and lobbies where recoat labor is the larger cost driver, not the raw material.

Betco publishes a direct cross-reference guide mapping its finish products against Diversey equivalents by size and format, which is a useful starting point if you are switching a long-standing Diversey account to Betco chemistry or vice versa. Confirm compatibility with any existing finish layers already on the floor before switching brands, since stripping incompatible finish layers before recoating with a new brand is standard practice and should be priced into any brand-switch proposal.

Solids content is the number that predicts long-term durability, not gloss alone
