Wrong NAICS burns months of unpaid proposal time.

Inputs

Type 2+ characters for matches. County is safest — SCA WDs are indexed by county.

Screens federal contract opportunities against NAICS code, contract value, and Service Contract Act wage requirements. Shows whether you meet the basic eligibility thresholds before you invest time in a proposal.

Instruction

  1. Enter your NAICS code and the estimated contract value in dollars.
  2. Pick the place of performance state and check set-aside or SCA registration status if applicable.
  3. Read the pass or review-required flag and the reason summary.

Worked example

A contractor selects NAICS 561720 (Janitorial Services), enters a contract value of $250,000, picks Texas, and leaves both checkboxes unchecked.

The tool returns Review required because the contract exceeds $2,500 and triggers SCA wage determination requirements, but no SCA wage determination is on file.

Questions operators ask

What contract value triggers Service Contract Act wage requirements?
Any federal service contract over $2,500 requires a Department of Labor wage determination under the Service Contract Act. Contracts at or below that threshold are exempt. You must have the applicable wage determination on file before you can be awarded the contract.
Which NAICS codes qualify for federal janitorial contracts?
Most federal janitorial solicitations specify NAICS 561720 (Janitorial Services) or 561790 (Other Services to Buildings and Dwellings). Contracts under 561110 (Office Administrative Services) occasionally include cleaning but are not primarily janitorial. Verify the NAICS code listed in each solicitation on SAM.gov.
Do I need to register my SCA wage determination before I bid?
You do not register the wage determination itself. The contracting officer attaches the applicable Department of Labor wage determination to the solicitation. You acknowledge it in your bid and must pay those rates if awarded. Some agencies require proof of payroll system capability during the proposal stage.
